Winning Speech

What Makes a Winning Speech ?

Interesting speech by Dananjaya Hettiarachchi. He was able to connect with his audience by telling them about his personal life story and using the rose as an illustration. His speech was simple and superb, he was able to make people laugh and relax by mixing humor with it. He won the championship of public speaking that day and continues to inspire many people by his speech through his video. His speech was not too long or too short and he finished his speech right on time. He did not rush his speech but had a good momentum on when to slow down. His tone of voice was raised up at certain points and then drop back down which makes it interesting to listen. While listening to his speech through this video, not even once was I opted out to thinking something. Dananjaya was able to hold my attention with his words and his speech delivering techniques. You might have noticed that he walked and did not stay idle on the stage which was very good. His speech was also inspiring and we can see how the audience responded at the end. By watching this video, we can learn some good techniques about how to deliver a good speech, how to illustration points, and to learn what makes people laugh. End of the day, practice makes it to be perfect, I am sure that Dananjaya continues to practice on his speech delivering techniques, why? to polish even further even though he is a world champion at it.
